Our conversation with Minister Olaf Lies made clear both the opportunities and risks in the German Energiewende. The trip to Hannover Messe has provided an unparalleled opportunity to learn about the European energy markets and to chart a path towards exporting our software here.” The conference includes 6,500 exhibitors and over 250,000 visitors attending a week of sessions. Daniel notes that several halls devoted to clean energy are the size of Seattle’s Century Link Exhibition Hall. Sessions on energy and the environment cover steps that enterprises are taking to convert the existing system of large-scale power plants into numerous small-scale power plants that run off of resources like natural gas, solar, wind or biomass.
